“Even when you’ve played the game of your life, it’s the feeling of teamwork that you’ll remember. You’ll forget the plays, the shots and the scores, but you’ll never forget your teammates.”

HISTORY

Walkerville Netball Club was established in 2010 by a group of country netballers who wanted to play competitive netball in the city but for a club with a country atmosphere.

In our first season, we had 2 senior teams and 16 players. Since then, we have grown to be one of the largest clubs in the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division with 35 teams across seniors and juniors.  We continue to have a strong affiliation with Walkerville Football Club.

Our club values are player satisfaction, community and being good sportswomen.

SENIORS

We have 18 senior teams, ranging in skill level from AMND League to C4. Our top teams primarily comprise of former Premier League and Reserves players and country A grade netballers.  However, we care equally about all of our players, irrespective of which grade they play.

All of our senior teams are lead by enthusiastic coaches, under the direction of our Head Coach, Kate Semiz (Advanced Accreditation).

We pride ourselves on our culture, our community and our renowned social events.

JUNIORS

We have 17 junior teams and we are continuing to grow. Established in 2019, our Junior club has teams in the Intermediate (U17), Junior (U15), Sub Junior (U13), Primary (U11) and Sub Primary (U9) grades, as well as a Net Set squad (ages 5 - 7) and Kindy Cats squad (ages 3 - 5). We have pathways for netballs of all skill levels into seniors, from elite to social.

Our junior teams are lead by supportive coaches, under the direction of our Juniors Coaching Directors, Sue Jones (Intermediate Qualification) and Sue Wright.

We pride ourselves on supporting our juniors' development, their passion for sport and building lifelong friendships.

Walkerville Netball Club would like to acknowledge the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains as the traditional owners of the land on which we train and play.

We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We respect their cultural heritage, spiritual beliefs and connections to land, which is of ongoing importance to the living Kaurna people.

We further acknowledge the contributions and important role that Aboriginal people play within our netball and wider community.
