“I first came to the Walkerville Netball Club at the beginning of its second season and one of the first things that struck me was its sense of community – a feeling of family. Throughout my time with Walkies, one of the proudest aspects has been watching the club develop into a support network for its players.
As a coach, I approach my role as I would a family dynamic – every plan or action I make always has the clubs best interests at heart. It may sound simple but this is the foundation for my coaching philosophy, for which I keep at the forefront of my mind so I continually lead by example.
Coaching is a role I have grabbed with both hands and which I thoroughly enjoy. I am constantly learning and challenging myself so I can support the ongoing growth of the club.
It is my belief that every player that dons the Walkerville Netball tunic should strive to put their teams best interests ahead of their own and in turn the club before themselves. It is important to remember that no individual is bigger than the team and a team’s success is dependent on every player giving the best of themselves each time they step onto the court, whether that be for a game or for a training session.
By having this philosophy at the base of our club, we are able to continue to cultivate a strong, respected, unified club that is competitive and successful on court while being a supportive network off court.”

“Even when you’ve played the game of your life, it’s the feeling of teamwork that you’ll remember. You’ll forget the plays, the shots and the scores, but you’ll never forget your teammates.”
