The competition
Junior netball is where development becomes intentional. Walkerville fields teams across Sub Primary (Under 9s), Primary (Under 11s), Sub Junior (Under 13s), Junior (Under 15s) and Intermediate (Under 17s). Players are graded into teams matched to their age group and ability, so every athlete is challenged at the right level.

Before you register
The things junior families ask us most, answered for you.
Five: Sub Primary (Under 9s), Primary (Under 11s), Sub Junior (Under 13s), Junior (Under 15s) and Intermediate (Under 17s).
Junior games are played at Mile End Sports Complex, 155 Railway Terrace, Mile End in both winter and summer.
Winter (AMND) runs May to September, with a finals series in September. Most grades play Saturday mornings. While the courts at Mile End are being redeveloped, a number of Sub Junior and Junior grades play Friday evenings instead.
Summer (City Night Division) runs October to March, with a break over Christmas and finals in March. Sub Primary, Primary and Junior grades play Saturday mornings between 8:00am and 11:40am. Sub Juniors play Friday evenings, at 6:30pm or 8:15pm.
Times and nights are set by Netball SA each season and confirmed after grading, so check PlayHQ for your player's fixture.
Training is compulsory during the season.
Winter: Sub Primary, Primary, Sub Junior and Junior train Monday nights at Mile End Sports Complex. Intermediate trains Wednesday nights at the SAUCNA courts, corner Anzac Highway and Goodwood Road.
Summer: Junior teams train Monday nights.
Training nights are confirmed with your coach once teams are finalised.
Players are graded into teams matched to their age group and ability, so every athlete is challenged at the right level.
Winter fees total approximately $420 per player per season, including GST and PlayHQ admin fees, made up of the Walkerville Netball Club fee, the Netball SA and Netball Australia fee, and compulsory fundraising of $66. Summer fees are approximately $225 per player. Players who have not competed in a Netball SA affiliated winter competition pay an additional $123 Netball SA fee.
